Blogging has become lately one of the most popular activities people do on the internet. You might ask yourself why blogging is useful and to whom. First of all you have to know that there are different types of blogs. There are personal blogs that people use in order to express their feelings, their opinions regarding certain subjects or regarding their life. There are also some kinds of blogs that contain important news from different domains like politics, economics, fashion, sports, weather etc. All in all, you can find almost everything on these blogs. But blogs are not only a source of information. You will be surprised to see how many advantages a blog can bring.
When you begin blogging for your business on a regular basis, you are opening the door for your customers, clients, colleagues and prospects to enter into a conversation and get to know you.
Here’s one of my favorite inspiration al persons, Albert Einstein: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” It is up to each of us to remember and to indulge that sacred gift. Need inspiration? Just look at your child, or a classroom full of young children. They don’t need any creative encouragement. They already know what to do. After 30 years of teaching elementary school and 23 years of being a parent, I have long ago come to realize that the human species is born with a creative spirit that yearns to be unleashed.
Times are hard. Gas prices are high and making ends meet can be a struggle. What’s the solution? Take a vacation; on a smaller scale. Sure, Jamaica is beautiful this time of year, but if that’s out of your reach, take off a Monday and Friday and treat yourself to a night out on the town and a hotel stay. Visit a local hiking trail or tourist attraction in your city. It doesn’t take much to enjoy yourself in your city with a mini-vacation.
travels are everywhere too. There is no doubt so many people want to get their thoughts across and let many people be aware of how they feel and what they think. They rant and rave about any topic. Blogging has served as an outlet and refuge to many. Censorship, says who?
I’ve found that my blog personal intrest and it’s accompanying monthly printed newsletter that’s basically the best of the blog entries from the previous month seems to increase my perceived credibility and my approachability. And to get new clients and customers in the door, perceived credibility and approachability is what you need. To keep them, you will need actual credibility and good communication, so hopefully you have both.
Blogging isn’t difficult and it doesn’t have to be scary. Just write with your own voice and treat your customers the way you know you should. Let them know you appreciate them and that they can depend on you to keep it real, share good ideas and interact with them on a regular basis. If writing isn’t your thing, you can always hire a good freelancer to write your blog posts for a reasonable fee.
When conducting advertising deals, be smart about it. Do not place a ridiculous amount of ads on your site. It is messy and cluttered and unappealing for both your advertiser and visitors. Find your niche, secure the ads, and see just how many people really do care.
